Burgundy wine tours

To discover the best wineries in Burgundy, we highly recommend that you to choose your travel agency very carefully. Ideally, choose a French-based one that operates its own tours. The very best wineries of Burgundy can be difficult to access and it is always better to work with locals who have a long term relationship with the wine makers themselves.

The most famous vineyards in Burgundy are spread along the Cote d’Or from Dijon to Beaune. South Burgundy is a marvelous territory worth discovering.
For the full Burgundy experience, you will need three to four days in the Cote d’Or and another three to four days to take in Chalon sur Saone, Macon region, and Beaujolais.
North Burgundy is also very interesting. If coming from Paris, make sure to stop in Chablis. It is a perfect place for lunch on the way to Beaune.
While a few days in Burgundy allows taking in some of the essential “must see” destinations, the full experience really requires six to seven days, for just after the Beaujolais vineyards you arrive at the gates of Lyon, the world capital of gastronomy.
