Itinerary

Pick up at 09:00 AM at Aix en Provence Tourist Office.

Your guide will drive you to the classic hilltop villages of Luberon, at a height of 1200 meters (4000 feet) where, among other things, you can look over two mountain ranges and the peaceful national park and forest. Simply elevating!

The village of Gordes.

You'll start this immersive Provençal day by picture-perfect Gordes, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France! There will be free time here to stroll through its steep cobblestone streets, discover its secret squares and admire the fine Renaissance chateau with its commanding view of the valley.

Senanque Abbey.

Located deep in its Provençal valley, the Abbey of Sénanque is one of the most pure examples of the primitive Cistercian architecture. Just like during the 12^th century, a community of Cistercians monks is currently living in the Abbey of Sénanque, still following the rule of Saint Benedict.
Seven times a day, the monks gather in the abbey church to pray together.

Lunch at your leisure in a local village

Roussillon.

The last (but not least) place on the tour is Roussillon, the famous perched village located on a rocky promontory, dominating the ochre quarries. Nicknamed the “Provencal Colorado”, there is a surprising amount of rich warm color in these unusual cliffs!  

Lourmarin.

Before heading back to Aix-en-Provence, enjoy a last stop at Lourmarin village. Classified as one of the most beautiful village in France as well, Lourmarin is also known as an artist's village. Many artists as the writers Albert Camus and Henri Bosco were attracted by this place surrounded by olive and almond trees. 

Drop off at 05:00 PM at the Aix en Provence Tourist Office.
