Bourgueil
The Bourgueil vineyard extends on 1300 hectares. Wines are made from cabernet franc grapes.
The soils are made of limestone or sand and gravels. They develop floral notes (rose, peonies, violet), fruity notes (raspberry, cherry, plum) or spicy notes (pepper, walnut). The red wines made on gravels will be pleasant from a very young age. Supple and fruity, they will quickly become ready to be drunk.Service temperature: 14°C. They will pair with white meat and roast meats.
The red wines growing on limestone can be kept many years. Service température: 17°C. They will pair with red meat and game. The rosé wines are rare and will be great with charcuteries and barbecues.
One of our wine makers partner in Bourgueil: Established in 1640, this Domain has resided in the possession of the same family. Mr Caslot is a 14th generation vintner. The family property is 32 hectares and elaborates fantastic red wines made of cabernet franc. His best vintage is produced from 70 years old vines.
