Itinerary

Day 1: Chenonceau & Chambord

Pick up: 9:00 AM at the Tours Tourist Office.

Guided tour of the Chateau of Chenonceau.

The unique architecture of the Chateau of Chenonceau makes it one of the most exquisite Chateaux in the Loire Valley. Nicknamed "The Ladies Chateau", the castle of Chenonceau is related to important French women such as Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici. The magnificent Renaissance Gardens around it make it even more spectacular.

Transfer to Amboise for the lunch.

Les Caves Ambacia, the Loire Valley Wine Experience!

Enjoy an exclusive and convivial tasting of Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny wines, King François the 1st 's favourite wines, at a local winery. Then wines of the domain and terroir specialities.

Transfer to Chambord.

Guided tour of the Chateau of Chambord.

Drive to the Estate of Chambord, whose national game reserve as large as the city of Paris! The Chateau de Chambord (guided tour) is a unique monument as defined by its architecture and proportions. Leonardo da Vinci likely took part in its conception. With more than 400 rooms and the double spiral staircase, Chambord is a highlight of the Loire Valley.

Drop-off is at 06:00 PM at your hotel in Tours.

Check in at your hotel l'Univers**** in the city center of Tours. 

Day 2: Private tour to 3 Chateaus OR to 2 Chateaus and a winery

Day 4: Beaune, Route des Grands Crus, Château du Clos de Vougeot & Nuits-Saint-Georges

Pick up is at 9:15 AM at your hotel.

Tour and wine tasting in a local domain* in Beaune.

Discover a a fabulous estate situated in the heart of Beaune. Along with the owner, you'll taste the white wines such as Saint-Aubin, Meursault 1er cru “les Charmes” or the famous Grand cru Corton–Charlemagne.

Lunch at leisure upon your guide's suggestions in Beaune.

Route des Grands Crus.

Sightseeing along the Grands Crus road and a stop at the famous Romanée-Conti. Considered the most prestigious name in Burgundy, this plot of 1.8 hectares (4.5 acres) produces the most expensive wine in the world!
A picturesque drive along the Côte de Nuits through the villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot. Discover why they call it the “Champs-Elysées” of Burgundy. We'll take advantage of being in these prestigious vineyards as the best way to explain the Terroir and the various steps required throughout the year to harvest the best Pinot Noir possible. Guided tour of the Château du Clos de Vougeot.

Founded in 1098 by the monks of the abbey of Cîteaux, the vineyard of the Clos de Vougeot represents more than 50 hectares (124 acres) of vines owned today by more than 80 different owners. Its wine is some of the most famous Grands crus of Burgundy. Today, the castle welcomes the different “chapitres” (dinners) of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin).

Tour and wine tasting in a local domain* around Nuits-Saint-Georges.

In the heart of the town which gave its name to the Côte de Nuits, you will discover a new estate. On this tour you'll glean the different techniques which give these wines their exceptional quality!

Burgundy: The Four-Star Hotel Henri II in Beaune for two nights.
