Day 2:  LOOP RIDE TO CHATEAU DE CHENONCEAU FROM AMBOISE

A short and moderately flat ride will take you through the forests and alleys of the Amboise countryside passing by the Parc Mini Châteaux (great for kids) and then dropping down to the fabulous Chenonceau Castle that must be discovered with plenty of time to visit. Chenonceau, erected by Henry II in the 16th Century over the Cher river and improved by Catherine de Medicis. The castle hides several pieces of historical interest, furniture and tapestries. For the long option you will continue on to Montrichard, La Genaudière and St. Regle before returning to Amboise.

Day 3:  CYCLE TO BLOIS

Go for a ride to visit the beautiful city of Blois on the Loire River to see the strolls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a perfect day, you can visit the House of Magic located just in front of the Royal Château of Blois. The city concentrates many typical alleys of the Renaissance. The old town is unmissable for the architecture and art like the sculptures on the houses and the Royal Château. A must-seeing in Blois is also the staircase of Denis Papin which are decorated every year. Moreover, the Botanical garden with a free entrance is a perfect place to rest after a visit in the Loire Valley Castles.

Day 4: LOOP RIDE TO CHATEAU DE CHAMBORD AND CHEVERNY

Two different routes are proposed today. Both itineraries start by the Château Chambord. Possibly the most famous of the Loire Valley castles - Château Chambord is an architectural masterpiece and displays a somewhat rare sense of whimsy in its design. If you choose this option, you can enjoy chocolate tasting in a nearby village chocolate factory after visiting the castle, followed by a calm ride back to Blois with a stop at the Château de Villesavin. If you chose the longer option, you get to visit Château de Cheverny, a unique place for Tintin fans. After Cheverny, the longer ride goes via Troussay and Beauregard through landscapes that make it clear why the kings chose the Loire Valley as their vacation spot. 

Day 5: DEPARTURE DAY

The trip is now over, and it is time to leave the Loire valley, but if you feel like the stay has been a little too short, extra nights can be arranged.
